School News  Chinese New Year Party Notice Letter from the Principal Dear Parents: Season's greetings! This coming Sunday will be our last school day for the year of 2011. It has been a great pleasure for the school committee and me to serve you. I want to thank all the families for coming to our school and following school rules. With everyone's help, we are building a better school for our kids and a better community for ourselves. Talking about following school rules, I have an important thing to report and things to remind. A few weeks ago, we had an incident in a basketball game. An adult started a physical conflict with a teenager. With the help of other people and me, they were able to calm down and apologize to each other without calling police. Right now the adult is staying away from our school to make sure he corrects his behavior and temper. Here I want to remind all the parents that our school has zero tolerance to any physical conflict. If you think someone's behavior/talking needs correction, you should report it to school committee. Also keep your hands to yourself. The golden rule fits here perfectly to everyone. Anyone violating this rule may have to face legal consequences. Enough talk about the year past. Now it is time to look into the coming new year. The year of 2012 looks exciting. First, we will have the gym in basement available. Second, we will have our Chinese New Year celebration on the third school day (Jan22) in spring semester. We plan to have a potluck party in the cafeteria, in which parents and kids of same class will sit together, sharing foods and get to know each other better. Please volunteer to your kids' teacher about being a party organizer and start to plan with other parents about your class menu early, since time goes fast. We also have started on planning our traditional showcase, with the help of a professional show hostess. Have a safe and happy holiday!
