POLICY OF THE PARENTS' ACTIVITIES
With No Instructor
AT XILIN NORTHWEST CHINESE SCHOOL

As a non-profit educational organization, the premier goal of the Xilin Northwest Chinese School (XNCS) is to pass the Chinese language and Chinese culture to our next generation. Soon after the school was established, the parents started self-organized activities while waiting for their children attending the classes. These activities have not only enriched the parents' lives but also made more parents involved with the school. Therefore, XNCS, as a Chinese Community, promotes and supports these adult activities. To formalize these activities, the School Committee has made the following policy effective at the beginning of the 2009 fall semester:

a. None of the activities may be held without the permission of the School Committee and Board.

b. All of the participants have to register with the school.

c. All of the participants have to follow the school guidelines.

d. The classes and programs of the students have first priority of any usable space at the school. In the case of any conflict between the groups or classes, all of the participants should calmly wait for the solution of the School Committee and Board.

e. Any severe violation of the policy will subject to the re-review of the program with the School Committee and Board.

f. Need minimum 5 initiators to submit a new program request to the school. The school will review the request based on the new program's objective and the room availability.

g. Any program must follow the school guidelines and with the objective to promote Chinese culture, attract student/family enrollment, or provide additional educational or entertainment service to XNCS.

h. Two leaders from each adult program are recognized by the school for their volunteer management work with the adult program. They are qualified for the future potential matching donation from their employers on their volunteer work hours for XNCS (if their employers sponsor such program).
